Sunset Marquis is committed to providing  all guests with a comfortable and positive experience. We utilize all available technologies to accommodate the widest possible audience, regardless of physical or functional abilities. We  continually work to ensure best practices are followed and that tools are implemented to make the process of navigating our web site and our grounds is as easy as possible, while still providing the information people need in the format they require. Our goal is to adhere to and follow the standards, guidelines and recommendations as defined by the Americans With Disabilities Act  regarding the use of our web site and when visiting our hotel for those with visual or physical limitations.

Accessible Website and Web Content

This website strives to conform to level AA of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make our website more user friendly for all people.

Accessible Rooms

Our accessible rooms have blinking lights on the wall to notify the hearing impaired. They also feature ADA alert kits for the hearing impaired that include a multi-function alerting system for phone, door knock, alarm clock and sound alerting. Smoke detectors,  in-line telephone amplifiers, text telephones, and Assistive Listening Devices are also available. Guest room TVs have closed captioning. Some bathrooms have roll-in showers and handrails by the toilet. All handicap accessible guest rooms and facilities are on the ground floor.

Accessible Junior Villa

Sized from 400-500 square feet (37.16 to 46.45 m²), the Junior Villa at our West Hollywood hotel combine bedroom and living areas into one large open space. It features granite countertops in our bathrooms and other upgraded amenities.

One Bedroom Villa

Because of its size and the comfort of its furnishings, our one-bedroom villa is as homey as an apartment a friend has lent you while they’re out of town. The room offers a spacious living areas as well as patios with garden views.

Our Accessible Superior Suite offers dignitaries such as yourself 575 square feet (51.3 m²), in which to stretch out and relax, with separate sleeping and living areas that makes it feel like you’re in an apartment as opposed to a hotel room.

All accessible guest rooms and facilities are on the ground floor,
with the exception of the Villa pool which is accessible via elevator. 

Non-Accessible Areas

Due to the layout of our hotel, various elevation changes and the original construction dates of some rooms back to the 1930’s and 1940’s, we do have some spaces that are not accessible via wheelchairs. However, with advance notice our staff is capable of assisting our guests inaccessing these areas. The specific areas include Villa 20’s patio, the Villa pool restroom, and a garden seating area directly below the Villa pool.

Dear Friends,

For every single one of us, these are challenging times, both personally and professionally. The economic burden we all are bearing is difficult, and our hearts go out to all those who suffer adverse health issues from Covid-19. While we wait to hear news and updates from around the world, it is uplifting to learn about the positive things people are doing in our communities to help those unable to help themselves. It is humbling to see a warm spirit of humankind shining through during times of struggle.

At the Sunset Marquis Hotel and Villas, we appreciate your support and patience as we endeavor to provide the service and support for our staff and guests. For now, the hotel is open with limited services. We have closed our restaurant and bar in keeping with directives of government officials, but room service remains available, and we hope to offer take-out food service shortly. Our current operations follow the explicit guidelines set forth by the CDC to ensure the safety and welfare of our employees, our guests and their families.

While the road ahead will be difficult, one thing is certain; this, too, shall pass. We are optimistic and hopeful for a speedy end to this global crisis and confident that we will persevere by working together, coming together as a global community, and being patient and kind to one another.
