As anyone who has seen the framed photos lining the walls of the Sunset Marquis’ lobby, bar and breezeway, the West Hollywood hotel has a long history as a location for fashion and music photo shoots, with famed photographers like David LaChapelle, Patrick Demarchelier, Bob Gruen, Ellen von Unwerth and Jim Marshall among those who have used it as a backdrop. (In fact, the shot used on the cover of Todd Oldham’s recently published biography of Joan Jett was shot in one of the rooms).
The hotel has decided to capitalize on that and has turned one of the property’s 10 original villas into an on-site, turn-key photography studio, which just opened its doors.

Congratulations are in store for Restaurant Manager Jeremy Light and Director of Food and Beverage Jesse Flores at the Sunset Marquis.
Their wine program at RESTAURANT has garnered Sunset Marquis with it’s first Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2010.

The restaurant at the Sunset Marquis has always been a haven for celebrities, rock stars and locals – almost to the point of being somewhat of an insider secret amid all the hotel eateries and watering hole options in West Hollywood.
Michelin-rated Chef Guillaume Burlion joined the team about 18 months ago and completely revamped the menu to include his French-California cooking style.
A few weeks ago, he invited Jeremy Zimmerman to reunite with him as his Executive Sous Chef in The Restaurant.
